    Must buy!!

    I ordered this for my grandson who just turned 5 and loves puzzles. He was able to finish it by himself. I sorted the colors in order and his brother, ages 2 and 3, can also do it with minimal help. All three loved it. They actually loved it so much we ordered more! We got the rocket and rainbow next. We have since ordered three more. Excellent product, buy it!

    maybe better for 7-10 year olds

    When a toy says 5+ on the package I believe that it will be good for my five year old granddaughter. Some of those were even good for her when she was only four years old. Too bad I don't think she's old enough to enjoy this toy yet. It looks like it would be too tedious for her to want to complete alone. I had thought that if she needed help, her 12 year old brother would like to do it together with her, but now I don't think that's a good idea, either.After fooling around with it myself for a while, I decided to hold it in reserve for a couple more years. I think my grandson would think it's too childish and my granddaughter would find it too frustrating until she is a couple years older and would be able to finish it alone.It's different and cute, but I really didn't realize how tiny the pieces would be. I now see that there are "Big" pieces sets, too, that have more manageable size pieces. Unless your child particularly likes teeny tiny things, the big size piece sets might be better, because even those are not very big.I lost my enthusiasm when I started imagining all those tiny little pieces lost everywhere in the house.

    It's like paint by number without the mess

    This is a nice puzzle that takes patience to build, so it may not be suitable for younger kids who can't sit still for very long. All the instructions necessary to complete the puzzle are included. The foldout sheet shows where the pieces go, so it very much is like paint by number. Of course the 250 Plus Plus pieces can be used for making other things as well, not just the baby chick.The Plus Plus parts are well made and fit together well.

    I give it an A ++

    The colors in this kit are so bright and beautiful! I actually got it to do myself. My teen is not interested in this type of activity and my youngest (4) is at the age where this is more frustrating than fun. The 4 year old does not allow me much time or space for critical thinking. I cant read a book in his presence nor can i crochet a project that requires counting. This is a mindless enough activity that I can work on it and still field his never ending stream of questions! A definite win in my book. It is a cute seasonal activity and then afterwards the pieces can be used as building blocks to add to an existing plus plus collection.

    Not quite Lego, but Plus Plus kits are great and affordable

    We have a ton of Lego, but if I'm being honest they're quite expensive, especially the themed (Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc) ones. While Plus Plus build tend to fall apart easier than Lego, my kids (7 & 4 year olds) don't seem to mind. The included mat made it more like a paint/build by numbers that my kids enjoyed building. Besides that they can spend lots of time simply putting different colors together to make interesting designs. I've grown pretty fond of Plus Plus and hope to add more pieces and in different colors so that my kids can build bigger and bolder.
